The award-winning LGBT documentary “The Queen of Ireland” which premiered at 2017 Urban Nomad Film Fest will launch on GagaOOLala on Sep 1, where it will join another of Urban Nomad’s previous queer cinema selections “We Were Here” on the platform.
“The Queen of Ireland” presents the unique life story of Irish drag queen Panti Bliss and her legend of fighting for LGBT rights, leading Ireland to become one of the first countries in Europe to achieve marriage equality. The critically acclaimed documentary, which has a rating of 8 on IMDb, will be exclusively launched in HD on GagaOOLala in Taiwan and the whole Southeast Asia on September 1!
“We Were Here,” which saw its Taiwan premier at Urban Nomad in 2011, is one of the most moving accounts of the gay community coming to face the AIDS epidemic in the early 1980s.
