We are proud to announce films for Urban Nomad’s 2017 film Competition and Open Submission program sections.
In all, more than 350 films and music videos were submitted to Urban Nomad this year. Urban Nomad’s film selection committee has picked the cream of this selected 30 films for eight programs, including 19 competition films (two features and 17 shorts) and 11 out-of-competition short films.
The music video competition received 67 entries, with six of these nominated for Urban Nomad’s “Best Music Video Award”. The award will be presented on April 16 at the Urban Nomad Opening Freakout music festival, and music videos will screen in our large theater May 11-21 and paired with feature films.
The film selection committee has noted that this year filmmaking quality was extremely high, and decisions were very difficult. Congratulations to all those films accepted to the program! We look forward to the screenings and seeing directors at the festival presenting their films!
